Hacking peppers

▁ sep 13 2005

I “recently”:http://printf.dk/it/hacks/poweredbymint_tm.html installed “Mint”:http://www.haveamint.com on this server. It comes with a stack of scrap-“peppers” and some other people wrote theirs. I was late at work this evening, and decided to try out the API myself. Looks like this: !http://printf.dk/img/flashcharts.png!

Basic pepper just calculating browser statistics. It’s the exact same thing as the vanilla “User Agent 007” that ships with Mint, just represented visually. Even using the SQL-query from the vanilla pepper. It’s pretty standard, I was just playing around with the API. I’m gonna keep it for a rainy day, and add some more graphical statistics to it. Maybe have some kind of ip2country functionality in there. X% visitors from the states, this many from germany, etc. If anybody wants the code so far, it’s available upon request, cause since I’m pretty sure nobody cares to hack further on this right now, I can’t be arsed to tarball it. Until they ask me to.
